Corridor 1.0.1

Corridor is a game played on a board consisting of 81 square spaces arranged in a 9x9 grid. Each player controls a pawn that starts at the center space of one edge of the board. In a two-player match, the pawns begin on opposite sides. The objective is for a player to advance their pawn to any space on the opposite side of the board from its starting position.

A unique aspect of Corridor is the presence of twenty walls. These walls are two-space-wide barriers that can be strategically positioned in the grooves between the spaces to block the movement of pawns, forcing players to navigate around them. At the beginning of the game, the twenty walls are evenly distributed between the players and once placed, they remain fixed and cannot be relocated or removed. On each turn, players can either move their pawn or, if permitted, set up a wall.

Pawns have the ability to be moved to any space in a perpendicular fashion (not diagonally). If a pawn is adjacent to another pawn, it can jump over it. When an adjacent pawn is blocked by a third pawn or a wall on the other side, the player may move the pawn to an immediate adjacent space (left or right) relative to the obstructed pawn. It's important to note that multiple pawns cannot be jumped over, and walls act as impassable barriers, even when moving laterally due to an obstacle being behind a jumped-over pawn.

Walls can be placed directly between two spaces into any available groove not already occupied by another wall. However, players are not allowed to place a wall that completely blocks off the sole remaining path for any pawn to reach the designated side of the board.
